Ian Somerhalder's latest television drama, V Wars, has finally received a premiere date. The science fiction-horror web television series will premiere on December 5, 2019, on streaming giant Netflix's platform. This will be Ian Somerhalder's second vampire based show. He rose to international fame with his starring role in the supernatural teen drama television series, The Vampire Diaries. The television show ran for nine years, from 2009 to 2017, and was very popular with the teen audience.

V Wars will premiere on December 5, 2019

Ian Somerhalder plays the role of a scientist and Adrian Holmes plays the role of his best friend. The story focuses on how they face the evolving crisis of a deadly outbreak. This crisis threatens to divide society into opposing factions and can potentially escalate to a future war between humans and vampires. The Netflix series is based on the eponymous comic series by American suspense author Jonathan Maberry. The series was created by William Laurin and Glenn Davis who are credited as the showrunners and executive producers.
