Inside Out 2 Surpasses The Avengers To Enter List Of Top 10 Highest-Grossing Films Worldwide

The animated film Inside Out 2 has achieved another milestone in its box office collection. The film which serves as a sequel to 2015 film has exhibited its strong run at the box office for long.

According to a report in Deadline, Inside Out 2 officially became the 10th highest-grossing movie of all time, passing The Avengers' $1.521 billion at the box office with its own $1.523.9 billion as of Wednesday. It also surpassed Furious 7's $1.515 billion business.

Before it became the highest-grossing animated film and surpassed The Avengers, Inside Out 2 was instantly off to a massive start, having the second biggest domestic weekend box office opening for an animated film and becoming the fastest animated movie to cross the $1 billion mark.

The film's worldwide box office now sits just below a staggering $1.524 billion, comprising $905.1 million internationally and $618.8 million domestic. This latest record follows Inside Out 2 overtaking Frozen 2 last week to become the biggest animated movie of all time.

Inside Out 2 is a massive success, and the film is evidently a major relief to theatres after the first half of the year featured some unfortunate box office disappointments. With week-to-week drops being impressively low as audiences continue to check the film out in theatres, there's reason to believe that this film will enjoy its run time more at box office.
