It's confirmed! Johnny Depp no longer to play Jack Sparrow in 'Pirates of the Caribbean' reboot

Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp will not reprise his role as the iconic Captain Jack Sparrow in the upcoming 'Pirates of the Caribbean' instalments.

Bad news for  Johnny Depp fans, Hollywood superstar will t reprise his role as iconic Captain Jack Sparrow in upcoming 'Pirates of Caribbean' instalments. As per reports of Hollywood Reporter, Depp has been officially dropped from reboot of film.

According to ANI, development was confirmed by Disney's film chief Sean Bailey. In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Bailey said, "We want to bring in a new energy and vitality. I love [Pirates] movies, but part of reason Paul and Rhett are so interesting is that we want to give it a kick in pants. And that's what I've tasked m with."

Moreover, 'Deadpool' screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, have been roped to script  upcoming 'Pirates of Caribbean' film. As per media reports, Disney has met with writers behind to discuss a reboot of much-celebrated film series.  

original scriptwriter of franchise, Stuart Beattie, is first to publicly confirm that Depp has been dropped out from film's franchise. He revealed that Disney Studios is planning to ditch star as y are thinking of reworking  entire franchise.

Johnny Depp has been playing protagonist Jack Sparrow in film series for last 15 years and five films in franchise that released during time grossed a total of 4.5 billion US Dollars.  first 'Pirates' film, ' Curse of Black Pearl', hit big screens in 2003, most recent movie in franchise, 'Dead Men Tell Tales', was released in 2015.

Meanwhile,  'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find m' actor has been engrossed in personal turmoils over past four years, which critics claimed to have reflected in his latest appearance as Jack Sparrow in 2017 film 'Dead Men Tell Tales' which failed to perform well in atres and became lowest performing movie in film series.
