Jake Gyllenhaal recently rescued a dog from the chaotic New York traffic, last week. The 'Spider-Man' villain, Mysterio turned to be a hero for a runaway dog.

Jake Gyllenhaal rescued a dog from the chaotic New York traffic last week. The Spider-Man villain, Mysterio turned to be a real-life hero for a runaway Dalmatian, lost in the big city. According to reports, an onlooker saw Gyllenhaal approaching the confused canine, who escaped free from its owner and jumped in the middle of a busy intersection near Tribeca.
Jake eases the confused Dalmatian
The 38-year-old actor was reportedly out for a morning walk when he noticed the lost dog in the middle of a dangerous intersection with an unidentified woman. At first, he signaled the dog to move away from the road but eventually had walked out himself on the street to ease the confused Dalmatian. He then allegedly took the pet back to the owner.

According to reports, Gyllenhaal even took a moment to interact with the stricken dog owner about various types of leashes that might prevent the scary situation from happening again

Proudest moment of his life
This is not the first time the actor has shown his love and concerns for pets, in a recent interview with a media publication, the actor revealed that he "just loves them" and training his dog was one of his "proudest moments." He also added that his dog is the most important part of his life and that he cannot imagine a day without him.

He also said that he loves the fact that dogs are so active and playful, and he thinks that they bring out the best of us, if we allow them. On the work front, he last starred in the superhero flick Spider-Man: Far From Home opposite Tom Holland. It hit big screens on July 5.

Recently, the actor has been observed on multiple strolls around New York City with his rumored new love interest, French model Jeanne Cadieu.
