Actor Jim Parsons and writer Greg Berlanti have teamed up for a docu-series about the forgotten leaders of the LGBTQ rights movement.

Actor Jim Parsons and writer Greg Berlanti have teamed up for a docu-series about forgotten leaders of LGBTQ rights movement. Titled "Equal", four-part series has received an order from WarnerMedia's upcoming streaming service HBO Max.  show will use both documentary foot and high-end re-enactments to tell stories.

show will narrate "gripping and true backstories of leaders and unsung heroes, pre-Stonewall, who changed course of American history through ir tireless activism", streamer said in a statement.

Prominent LGBTQ rights' activists to be featured in series include Harry Hay, Daughters of Bilitis, Christine Jorgensen and Bayard Rustin. 

fourth episode will chronicle Stonewall Riots from start to finish as well as first Pride event, held year after Stonewall, according to Hollywood Reporter.

show hails from Warner Horizon Unscripted TV's new documentary unit.

It will also be executive produced by David Collins, Michael Williams, Rob Eric, Joel Chiodi, Sarah Schechter, Todd Spiewak, Jon Jashni, Mike Darnell and Brooke Karzen.
