director talked about Rey’s parents in a recent Rise of Skywalker’s Acemy screening. Moreover, he explained his idea behind twist and why he, along with his co-writer, thought that it was stronger than Last Jedi’s answer of Rey’s parents. In Abram’s line of thinking, Rey was haunted after kwing that his grandfar is evilest person. But problem arises in Last Jedi’s reveal as it told how anyone can be extraordinary despite m being emerging from ‘where’. In contrast, Rise of Skywalker showcases Rey’s parents to be evil as well as most powerful beings in entire Star Wars galaxy.
