American singer John Legend recently opened up about struggles that he has faced in his career only because of colour of his skin. In favour of National Day of Racial Healing, John Legend spoke about his personal experiences with a leading daily.

John Legend said that he is in a position of privilege as he is a celebrity. He also spoke about how currently re were so many doors open for him that are t open for or people. John said that people recognise him and treated him a certain way and it is only because y kw him.

John Legend also spoke about how hardest time for him was when he was studying at University of Pennsylvania. He said that he ticed how people out re treated outsiders around campus if y were t aware that you are a student.
John Legend furr revealed about his interactions with police. He said that police questioned his right even to get in his own car. John said that it was that time where he felt it most in west Philadelphia around campus of University of Pennsylvania.

He also said that he was being treated like he did t belong re only because he was black. He added that one ever said it but it was obvious as y did t do same with white students and never even asked for ir ID just to get into ir own car and question ir belonging.
John Legend in end, took a moment to thank his culture. John said that he would t have been artist that he was today if he was t black. He also said that he would t have had experiences that he has and also upbringing that he would t want to trade.
