Joker races ahead of The Dark Knight at the Worldwide Box Office
Joker is not only the highest-grossing R-Rated film of all time but it is also the second highest-grossing Batman franchise film, as it beats The Dark Knight.

DC's Joker recently crossed $ 1 Billion mark at worldwide Box Office and continues to keep earning more even after six weeks of its release. When film was first anunced, fans of DC and character of Joker never expected it to be sensation that it is today. Joaquin Phoenix starrer also happens to be highest-grossing R-Rated film of all time, even beating Ryan Reylds Depool 2. Recently, Joker's worldwide Box Office earning even beat that of lan's highly acclaimed Batman film, Dark Knight.

Before Todd Phillips' Joker beat Christopher lan's Dark Knight, highest-grossing Batman film of all time was Dark Knight Rises, followed by Dark Knight. Joker has w amassed a total of around $1.018 billion, beating worldwide gross of Dark Knight by around $13 million, which me $1.005 billion at Box Office. This officially makes Joker second highest-grossing film associated with Batman name.

So, re is still a lot more Joker has to earn before it is highest-grossing Batman franchise film of all time. While release of Joker was controversial, with many critics finding movie to be too dark, it continues to dominate Box Office.
