The film director of movie Jurassic Park recently announced on Tuesday night, that the three actors from the very first, Jurassic park part one, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum, will return to the big screen for the Jurassic world 3 and would have sizable roles in the sequel.
Old cast's indulgence with Jurassic world
The three actors remained largely absent from the franchise after it was rebooted in 2015 with Jurassic World. However, Jeff Goldblum played a brief role in 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Neill has been absent from the franchise since leading 2001’s Jurassic Park III, in which Dern had a cameo.
The upcoming film’s plot details will be directed and co-written by Trevorrow, although any of detailed information is yet to be announced. In the 2018’s ‘End of Fallen Kingdom,’ the dinosaurs were released into the wild, and if the sequel is set after the film it will have to deal with the fallout from this.
Collider Video also tweeted declaring the reprise
To get a better understanding of the plot, Trevorrow has already briefly explored this so-called Neo-Jurassic Age in a short film called Battle at Big Rock, which was produced exactly one year after the events of Fallen Kingdom, and shows the struggle of a family to deal with this dangerous new world. Jurassic World 3 is due to be released on June 11th, 2021.
The old vs new
The very first Jurassic Park was entirely based on the details from the novel by Michael Crichton. Soon after its release, the film became a huge hit, one of the highest-grossing films of all time and won three Oscars. Reese Witherspoon, who acted alongside Dern in 2014 film Wild and TV series Big Little Lies, shared her excitement at the news on Twitter
