Singer Justin Timberlake has been arrested. The star has been apprehended by the police for allegedly driving while intoxicated on Long Island, New York, according to The Associated Press. Meanwhile, an investigation into the matter is underway.

Justin Timberlake is expected to be arraigned in Sag Harbor, located on the eastern end of Long Island, later today. According to TMZ, the former NSYNC star was stopped almost immediately after he began driving his car following a night out with friends at a local hotel.
Currently, Justin Timberlake is in the middle of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour. He last performed on Saturday at the Kaseya Center in Miami and has upcoming concerts scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the United Center in Chicago, followed by performances next Tuesday and Wednesday at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It is yet to be determined whether his arrest will affect these scheduled tour dates.
