Actor Kenneth Branagh, who is kwn for his roles in films like Henry V, Murder on Orient Express, Hamlet, Much o About thing, Thor and many more, is all set to woo fan with his acting skills in upcoming series. Kenneth Branagh is all set to play role of U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson in a new upcoming Sky TV series. five-part drama will revolve around  events surrounding UK Prime Minister, government and country in face of first wave of global pandemic.

According to Deline, project first appeared as part of a deal between Michael Winterbottom, director of Trip, and Fremantle's Passenger, Richard Brown, creator of True Detective. series will be bankrolled by Passenger and Michael Winterbottom under ir banner Revolution Films. series is being co-written by Michael Winterbottom alongside Kieron Quirke and will direct all five episodes.

Winterbottom is also going to executive produce alongside Richard Brown. Melissa Parmenter from Revolution Films will be producing alongside Anthony Wilcox and Josh Hyams. Tim Shipman, political editor of Sunday Times, is said to be a consultant in series.

About series

It will track impact of pandemic on Britain and response of scientists, nurses, and doctors to contain and overcome virus. It is based on first-hand testimony of people, including those from Downing Street, Department of Health, Scientific visory Group on Emergency Preparedness (S) and hospitals and care homes across country.

According to Deline, Winterbottom said that first wave of COVID-19 pandemic will be remembered forever. He ded that this was a time when country came toger to battle an invisible enemy. A time when people were more mindful of value of community than ever. He revealed that series blends countless true stories from Boris Johnson in Number 10 to frontline workers around country, chronicling efforts of scientists, physicians, home care workers, and politicians to protect everyone from virus. Filming of series will commence in early 2021 and is will premiere in autumn 2022.
