Popstar Lady Gaga has reportedly reduced the number of songs in her studio album 'Artpop' after sexual harassment allegations against R&B singer Kelly surfaced. Kelly's track 'Do What U Want' has been removed from her album, reports confirmed. Lady Gaga apologized for her collaboration with Kelly and is said to be re-releasing a new version of the entire album, striking the track altogether.
Gaga apologises for her song
Due to sexual harassment allegations against Kelly, all her songs have been removed from all the music streaming platforms and digital downloading sites. However, this version will not be featured in the re-release but will still stand as a single.

The singer tweeted in January that the track was produced during a dark time in her life and she’s extremely sorry to her listeners. In the lengthy social media post, the 'A Star Is Born' singer, who collaborated with Kelly in the year 2013 recorded the duet tracks, 'Do What U Want (With My Body)', expressing her sympathy with the alleged victims.

In her Instagram post the singer wrote, "I stand behind these women 1000%, believe them, know they are suffering and in pain, and feel strongly that their voices should be heard and taken seriously. What I am hearing about the allegations against R Kelly is absolutely horrifying and indefensible,"

Other artists also remove Kelly's tracks
Lady Gaga reportedly added that being a victim of sexual assault herself, she had made both the song and the video at a very dark time in her life. She also added that her intention was to make something defiant and provocative because she was extremely enraged and was dealing with her anxiety.

Lady Gaga isn't the only one quitting the singer’s tracks. Chance the Rapper also removed 'Somewhere in Paradise' from all the streaming platforms after the release of 'Surviving R. Kelly', a docuseries focused on the women that suffered alleged sexual, mental and physical abuse at the hands of Kelly.
Kelly has been accused of sexual abuse and misconduct by multiple women over the past two decades. However, the accusations against the 52-year-old singer resurfaced in the wake of the recent documentary series 'Surviving R. Kelly' that chronicles allegations of abuse, predatory behaviour, and paedophilia against him.
