Leonardo DiCaprio denies Brazilian President's accusation over Amazon fires
Leonardo Dicaprio has denied claims he was linked to the Amazon Fires, made by the Brazilian President Bolsonaro. He stated that he was proud to defend it.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro accused actor Leonardo DiCaprio of donating $500,000 to a group that Bolsonaro said started fires in ecologically sensitive Amazon Forest. DiCaprio has denied allegations and in his denial said that Amazon is an irreplaceable ecosystem and it is at stake. He also ded that he was proud to stand with groups that were trying to protect forest.
DiCaprio denies accusation
DiCaprio on Saturday denied claims by Bolsonaro that he h helped fund groups allegedly linked to fires in Amazon rain forest. In his statement, while denying accusation, DiCaprio said that he did t fund organisations that were targeted.

While Brazillian President has cited evidence regarding his claim that DiCaprio h paid $500,000 to organisations. DiCaprio has been a long-time environmental activist and offered praise to Brazilians that were working towards saving ir natural and cultural herit.

far-right Brazillian President has been an vocate for greater commercial exploitation of Amazon and has repeatedly blamed NGO's for causing flames in August that destroyed vast stretches of forest in Amazon. officials of Alter do Chao have called allegations to be false. Both Amnesty International and Greenpeace have accused Brazilian government of loosening environmental laws in Amazon forest.
