These two series, with the magic and charisma of the Marvel Universe , are expected to build the quality of the X-men stories which has fluctuated drastically in recent times. Even the films based on X-men characters -- mutants who are ostracised from society-- have been unsuccessful at the box office lately. In such a situation, the crossover of X-men with Fantastic Four might have interesting consequences.

It's a risky business

With films like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.1 & 2, Marvel Studios has proven that the most obscure superheroes can have an amazing run at the box office. The X-men characters like Wolverine, Professor X, Jean Grey, Magneto are already loved by audiences all over the world which is why their venture into the Marvel Universe might accentuate their popularity further. This risk will only be ascertained only when the new comic series will launch in February with the already announced Wolverine solo series.
