On October 28, 2023, the popular actor, best known for his role as Chandler Bing in the 1990s sitcom FRIENDS, was found dead at his residence. Months later, a probe was launched to track the illegal source of the drug given to the star. On Matthew’s first death anniversary, his co-stars Jennifer Anniston and Courtney Cox paid tribute to him.

Matthew Perry’s FRIENDS co-star Jennifer Anniston paid an heartfelt tribute to him. The actress shared a bunch of pictures on socia media. Along with the post, the caption read, “1 year”, along with a heart and dove emoji. In one pictures, Matthew adorable plants a kiss on her forehead and in another picture, the whole cast assemble for a group huddle.

His another co-star Courtney Cox, who played the role of his on-screen wife Monica Geller, remembered the late actor and shared a post. Along with the post, she wrote in the caption, “Missing you today and always”. She shared two photos in which one of them is with Matthew Perry and the other is with the Friends cast.

Fans too became emotional and the social media was filled in with tribute for the FRIENDS actor. One user wrote, “Marks one year since Matthew Perry’s passing. FRIENDS star Matthew Perry, the Emmy-nominated actor whose sarcastic, but lovable Chandler Bing was among television’s most famous and most quotable characters, died at the age of 54 on October 28, 2023. The actor was found dead at his Los Angeles home. Perry’s body was found in a hot tub at his home.

On November 4, the late actor's funeral was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles. His memorial service brought together his loved ones and fellow Friends castmates. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow all attended the service.
