Met Gala 2020 postponed due to coronavirus, co-chair Anna Wintour issues statement
Met Gala, fashion's biggest night has been postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19. Met Gala co-chair Anna Wintour addressed the issue in her statement.

According to a media portal’s report, annual fundraiser for Metropolitan Museum of Art i.e. Met Gala or Met Ball has been postponed indefinitely amidst Coronavirus pandemic. This year Met Gala was supposed to take place on May 4 and its me was “About Time: Fashion and Duration”.

According to report, Metropolitan Museum will stay closed until April 4. museum is also following CDC’s guidelines and hence it will remain closed for next eight weeks as well to avoid garing of 50 or more people. Since museum is following CDC’s guidelines all programs and events until May 15 have been postponed.

Vogue Editor-in-Chief and Met Gala’s co-chair Anna Wintour also talked about Met Gala being postponed indefinitely on her magazine’s website. In her statement, Wintour said that due to unavoidable and responsible decision by museum, it will remain closed and hence “About Time” and Met Gala will t take place according to schedule. However, Anna did t fail to mention that reers will get a preview of “extraordinary exhibition” in forthcoming May issue of magazine.
