Mission Accomplished: Tom Cruise Brings Olympics Flag To LA With Daredevil Stunt

Paris Olympics: Tom Cruise is known to perform his own stunts in his films. The Mission Impossible actor brought the curtains down on Paris Olympics 2024 in his inimitable style. With his daring stunt, he brought the Olympics flag to Los Angeles, which is the home to 2028 Olympics.

Tom Cruise’s thrilling stunt at Paris Olympics closing ceremony

Tom Cruise descended from the top of the State de France after  H.E.R sang The Star-Spangled Banner during the 2024 Paris Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday. Cameras were panned to top of the building to watch Cruise effortlessly fly though the sky and down to the athletes who competed in the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad.

Tom Cruise took to X and wrote in the caption, “Thank you, Paris! Now off to LA”. In another post of Tom Cruise shared the video of Paramout Pictures and wrote, “I’m incredibly proud of all that we’ve done together. I look forward to sharing our next Mission!”

According to the repots of the skydiving video was filmed in March, which released photos of Cruise climbing the Hollywood sign. Though he was shown on the iconic sign, there was no photographer or video evidence of Cruise skydiving.

What’s next for Tom Cruise?

Tom Cruise will next be seen in the eighth installment of Mission Impossible. The film has now been with a delayed after a problem involving a £23 million submarine. The gimbal, which lowers the 120-foot-tall tower, got stuck under its weight, delaying filming by several weeks. 

The previous installment of the film, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, was directed by Christopher McQuarrie and co-written with Erik Jendresen. It received a lot of attention for Tom Cruise's daring stunt, in which he jumped off a cliff on a bike. This iconic scene served as a major selling point for the film, leaving fans eager to see what the 61-year-old actor has planned for the next installment. Tom Cruise reprised his role as Ethan Hunt.
