Modern Family's dog Stella passes away just days after filming series finale

Popular sitcom series Modern Family wrapped up its series finale recently. It has w been reported that dog, that played role of Stella on popular show has passed away just a few days after series finale of show was shot. French bulldog named Beatrice played part of Stella right from fourth season of show until final eleventh season.

While reason behind demise of Beatrice isn’t kwn, however, it has been reported that she passed away days after finale of show was shot on February 21, 2020. A cast member from Modern Family, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who plays role of Mitchel had posted about news on his social media. While sharing a picture with French bulldog, he stated that he loved animal.

Stella was introduced in show in second season, however, role was n played by ar French bulldog- Brigitte. Beatrice replaced Brigitte in season four of Modern Family.

In show, Ed O’Neil who plays character of Jay Pritchett is sceptical of being with a dog initially. However, ir bond strengns throughout seasons and towards end of show, Jay is seen caring for dog more than he does for his wife sometimes.

Owners of Beatrice spoke about Beatrice’s role of Modern Family in a blog in 2017. y stated that Beatrice was just 7 years old when she started playing role of Stella, and much like in show, Ed O’Neil is very fond of her off camera as well. y were heard saying Ed would often get treats for Beatrice and would look out for her.

y had also said that t only Ed but entire cast of show adored French bulldog. owners claim that Beatrice was ‘clowny’ and ‘fun’ and that cast treats her like a part of family.

official Instagram account of show is often seen sharing pictures of Beatrice on ir account. y also posted a behind scene video of Stella, aka Beatrice on ir Instagram account. Apart from Modern Family, Beatrice has been a part of popular shows Workaholics and  Kominsky Method. She has also acted ion commercials for Dunkin’ and Chase Bank.
