'Morbius' starring Jared Leto delayed for the fifth time; to release in late January 2022

Spider-Man spin-off, 'Morbius' will be making its big-screen debut in 2022, with Jared Leto in the lead role. The movie has been pushed by a week.

Morbius has cast Acemy Award-winner Jared Leto in titular role of scientist, Michael Morbius. It is an upcoming superhero film in Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters (SPUMC). Like many or projects, movie has faced multiple delays in its release. It has now been pushed again by makers. 

Morbius release date delayed to late January 2022 

Sony Pictures Entertainment has pushed Morbius release date again by a week confirmed IGN. It was set to arrive on January 21, 2022. However, Spider-man spin-off universe project has now been moved to January 28, 2022, atrical premiere. makers are now showing release date on any official site to avoid facing backlash.

re are several issues regarding  Morbius release date for a long time due to coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic. film was originally scheduled to release on July 10, 2020, before moving three weeks later to July 31, 2020. It was n delayed to March 19, 2021, and moved again to October 8, 2021. As prime locations and cinemas were still shut down, makers shifted it again to January 2022. 

movie brings one of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters to big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save ors suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a rical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than disease, turning doctor into a living vampire.

Morbius cast includes Matt Smith, ria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Mrigal, and Tyrese Gibson. Michael Keaton also features in film, possibly reprising his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) role as rian Toomes / Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming. However, no official confirmation is me yet on what character Keaton plays. Fans are excited to see if movie will land in Marvel’s Spiderverse or as a standalone project.

Directed by Daniel Espinosa, screenplay is by Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless, and Art Marcum from a story by Sazama and Sharpless. movie is based on Marvel comics character Morbius, Living Vampire created by Roy Thomas and Gill Kane. It is produced by Matt Tolmach, Avi Ar, and Lucas Foster.
