Singer-songwriter Neil Young has sued US President Donald Trump's campaign for using his songs at his campaign rallies. 74-year-old artist has filed a lawsuit against campaign as he me it clear that he does t want his music to be used for events. Re on:

On June 20, 2020, official Trump campaign reportedly used Neil Young’s songs. This has t gone well with American-Canian singer. Young has filed a lawsuit against President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign on Tuesday. He has filed it under copyright infringement act as singer does t want his music to be used by a ''divisive un-American campaign of igrance and hate''.

According to reports by PBS, lawsuit by Neil Young is filed in Manhattan federal court. singer is looking forward to $150,000 in return as statutory dam for each infringement. It is also being reported that Rockin’ in Free World and Devil’s Sidewalk are two of most used songs by campaigners.

campaign has used music on several occasions, most tably in June 20 campaign in city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, lawsuit stated. Reportedly, singer has come forward and has stated that he is t suing to disrespect rights and opinions of Americans, who have right to freedom and are free to choose whomsoever y see fit to rule country. But he said that he 'cant allow divisive people'.

He also ded that campaigners were told t to use songs yet y igred this request and went on to d se songs to benefit ir campaign, regardless of fact that y did t have license to use songs. New York attorney Ivan Saperstein has filed this lawsuit on behalf of iconic singer. Neil Young has also taken to his official website to raise this violation of copyrights.
