Country For Old Men ending explained 

Towards end, Ed Tom Bell sits at his dining table and shares his two dreams he h about his far with his wife Loretta Bell. Explaining  first dream Ed Tom Bell says, "Anyway, first one I don't remember too well but it was about meeting him in town somewhere, he's gonna give me some money. I think I lost it." Describing  second one, he explains, in dream, he and his far ride on horseback through night. Ed's far rides ahe of him carrying fire in a horn. In a calm voice, he says,

"It was cold and re was sw on ground and he rode past me and kept on goin'. Never said thin' goin' by. He just rode on past... and he h his blanket wrapped around him and his he down and when he rode past I seen he was carryin' fire in a horn way people used to do and I could see horn from light inside of it. 'Bout color of moon. And in dream I knew that he was goin' on ahe and he was fixin' to make a fire somewhere out re in all that dark and all that cold, and I knew that whenever I got re he would be re. And n I woke up."

With this, Ed's dream and film both ends, leaving audience with an unclear ending and scratching ir hes. first dream of Ed seems to refer to his past of losing money. In second, he refers to letting go of things and accepting his retired sheriff's life and his future.
