Television legend rman Lear me history on Sunday when he received prestigious Emmy Awards at of 97. Lear, legendary writer and producer in American television industry, became oldest winner in history of Emmy Awards at 71st Annual Awards ceremony. He received award for ABC’s “Live in Front of a Studio Audience: rman Lear's All in Family and Jeffersons” which was brocasted on May 22, 2019. show was conceptualized and hosted by Jimmy Kimmel which was a recreation of episodes of sitcoms ‘All in Family’ and ‘ Jeffersons’, featuring all-star casting.

During Lear’s entire career, he h approximately 15 minations from which he won four Emmys for 'All in Family' in 1971, 1972 and 1973. When he received National Medal of Arts in 1999, n US President Bill Clinton remarked that "rman Lear has held up a mirror to American society and changed way we look at it." Born in 1922 in Connecticut, Lear was minated for an Acemy Award for writing ‘Divorce American Style’. He was also among first seven television pioneers inducted into Television Acemy Hall of Fame in 1984.

Lear snatched record from Sir David Attenborough who h received prestigious award at of 93 just a few hours before Lear’s mination was anunced. Attenborough won outstanding narrator award breaking his own record when he h won for ‘Blue Planet II’ in 2018. Attenborough, best kwn for his writing and presenting nine natural history documentary series which is a comprehensive survey of animal and plant life on earth. For his seamless contribution to brocasting and wildlife film-making, he has been called " great communicator, peerless educator" and “ greatest brocaster of our time”.
