Orlando Bloom says he won't return to play his "Lord of Rings" character in new Amazon series, based on JRR Tolkien's books.

actor, who played Legolas in beloved film franchise directed by Peter Jackson, said he doesn't kw wher his character could fit in new world.

"I mean look, I don't kw how y're going to approach it. I haven't h any conversations about this. I fell that I have done everything Coming back to be on ' Hobbit' was a really wonderful little tip from Peter that he wanted me to come into that and it me a lot of sense. 

"I like to think of myself as less but I don't kw where I would fit into that world. If you're saying as Legolas, y've probably got some 19-year-old kid who is rey to go," Bloom said.

He was speaking during a panel for "Carnival Row", his upcoming show with Amazon, at Television Critics Association summer session on Saturday. According to Entertainment Weekly, he furr recalled having a discussion with Jackson on potential reboot of series years ago and rejecting idea of it.

"I remember being on set with Peter, 20 years ago w? And he was saying, 'Wouldn't it be funny to think about when y'll want to do a remake of 'Lord of Rings'? 

"We were in midst of this remarkable shoot and I said, '! That's never going to happen.' And here I am, working for Amazon and y're redoing it. It's great," actor said.

Meanwhile, Carnival Row's plot is set in Middle-earth, and TV series is aiming to explore new storylines that occured before  events depicted in  Fellowship of Ring book, which was published almost 65 years ago.  series is produced by Amazon Studios in collaboration with Tolkien Estate and Trust, Harper Collins and Warner Bros Entertainment's New Line Cinema kwn for producing Director Peter Jackson's Oscar-winning 'Lord of Rings' franchise.
