Television Acemy has recently anunced that from w on, Oscar-minated projects will longer be eligible to compete for Emmy Awards. This rule will be applicable from beginning of 2021. This rule was released just days after Acemy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released a new statement saying that some films from streaming sites will be eligible for 2021 Oscar Awards.
makers want to make sure that new rules will be followed for selection process of Emmy Awards which is going to take place on February 28, 2021. TV Acemy ted se changes, which followed AMPAS' coronavirus-inspired move that allows films to compete without atrical distribution. y released a statement, " Television Acemy supports recent decision from Acemy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to allow feature films, originally intended for atrical distribution but me available via streaming or video on demand during current pandemic crisis, to compete at 2021 Oscars”. y also stated that, "Furr, Television Acemy ruled in March that effective in 2021, programs that have been minated for an Oscar will longer be eligible for Emmys competition".
