Rapper Jay Z files lawsuit against Australian retailer company for violating copyrights
A small Australian retail website was sued by the Rapper Jay-Z for earning a profit on a children’s alphabet book by using his name in the book title.

A small Australian retail website was sued by rapper Jay Z for earning profit on a children’s alphabet book by using his name in book title and his popular rap lyrics of 99 Problems. Shawn Carter, also kwn as Jay Z has accused Australian brand “ Little Homie” of violating his right to intellectual property and filed a case with Federal Court of Australia on vember 22.
Australian retail company violated copyrights
lawyer of Jay Z reported to a news daily that Australian retail company used his popularity and violated his copyrights to lyrics of 99 Problems. According to reports, Little Homie uploed an vertisement on his website for a children’s book which was inspired by hip hop star, titled, “A B to Jay-Z” which cost Australian Dollar $34.95 and ar colouring book for Australian Dollar $19.95 with same title.

Little Homie also posted video of book on ir Facebook account. video shows little children who are enjoying book which is based on me of hip hop. Certainly, approach by publisher is invative. On back ps of book, re are lyrics of rap 99 Problems, “If you're having alphabet problems I feel b for you son, I got 99 problems but my ABC's ain't one!”. book also has illustrations of various rap stars along with Jay Z.

According to lawsuit filed by Jay Z, company was asked to immediately stop sale of book in March 2018, but company continued earning profit. According to lawyer, name of Jay Z, his illustration and lyrics of his rap has injured reputation and goodwill of rapper. re has been response from Little Homie and Jessica Chiha, who is founder of company and is accused of deed.
