Veteran actor Robert De Niro has weighed on lack of screen and dialogues to Anna Paquin's character in his film " Irishman". Martin Scorsese-directed film, which has been receiving critical acclaim from all quarters, has raised questions as to less screen time and dialogues Paquin got in predominantly male-driven project.
Less Screen time
Oscar-winning actor portrays Peggy Sheeran, daughter of De Niro's Frank Sheeran.

Talking to USA Today, De Niro said Paquin has a very powerful part in movie.
"She was very powerful and that's what it was. Maybe in or scenes, re could've been some interaction between Frank and her possibly, but that's how it was done. She's terrific and it resonates," 76-year-old actor said.

Scorsese h previously rejected argument that " Irishman" does t have strong female characters.
According to Hollywood Reporter, veteran filmmaker h shot down a query on issue during a press conference at Rome Film Festival.

"If story doesn't call for it. It's a waste of everybody's time. If story calls for a female character le, why t? Sure, I'd like to do, but you kw what, I'm 76 w. How am I going to have time? I don't kw what's going to happen. We don't kw. I don't have time anymore," Scorsese h said.
" Irishman" started streaming on Netflix from vember 27.
