Twilight star Robert Pattinson who is now all set to take up the role of iconic Bruce Wayne in the upcoming Batman movie says that he himself can't believe it.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson who is w all set to take up role of iconic Bruce Wayne in upcoming Batman movie says that he can't believe that he got role. While fans are divided over him portraying  Caped Crusader, he said that he himself never thought it was a realistic prospect.

During a recent interview, Robert Pattinson reportedly said, "It's kind of insane, I was so far away from ever thinking it was a realistic prospect. I literally do t understand how I've got it, at all"

"It's much more fun when you're an underdog, re's expectation of you." ANI furr quoted him as saying.

Robert Pattinson won hearts of audience with his portrayal of vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight series. He has a huge fan following who is waiting for his return to screen. Among plenty of people who believed in Robert Pattinson's acting abilities, is his  ' Lighthouse' director Robert Eggers, who recently hailed him in great words. 

"Even in Twilight years I never said, 'Oh, he's just a pretty boy. I always thought re was something interesting about him. I could tell that he wanted to be a great actor. And in past years, it's been very clear that he is," ANI quoted  filmmaker as saying.

Filmmaker Matt Reeves, who was behind last two films in 'Planet of Apes' franchise, is set to direct trilogy of 'Batman' films starring Robert Pattinson in lead. After Ben Affleck stepped down as film's director in 2017, Reeves boarded project. Affleck, who took on role of Batman for 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 'Justice League', will be replaced by Robert Pattinson this time. iconic role is previously played by several or actors including Michael Keaton, George Clooney, and Christian Bale, among ors.  first in trilogy is expected to be released in June 2021.

What's next for Robert Pattinson

Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson will also feature in Christopher lan's upcoming film 'Tenet' which also stars Indian actress Dimple Kapadia. In fact, both actor and director were in India a couple of days back to shoot film's schedule of. Talking about starring in Christopher lan's directorial, Robert Pattinson during a previous interview revealed that he locked himself in a room to read script of film.

He reportedly said, “I got locked in a room to read script - I don’t have it myself, I’ve been a little wary of doing big movies for years and years, but re’s just something about Chris lan’s stuff. He seems like only director w who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has huge scale. I read script and it’s unreal.”
