Actor-director Seth MacFarlane believes job of hosting Acemy Awards is unwanted as actors are afraid of reviews and constant spotlight.
45-year-old filmmaker, who hosted Oscars in 2013, shared his thoughts on difficulty faced by Acemy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) in anuncing replacement of Kevin Hart, who stepped aside from emceeing duties after a controversy over his old homophobic tweets.

"Look, it's a gig that has all eyes on it. And when you're doing something that's that much in spotlight, with that much focus on it, that much intensity, you're going to have a lot of opinions from a lot of people," MacFarlane told Entertainment Weekly.

"I'm trying to think of last time that I re a review of Oscars next day where everyone is raving about it... it's been a long time," he ded.
MacFarlane said award shows are "kind of a dusty format" which is "as current as 1950s variety show format".
