Filmmaker and producer Steven Spielberg's statement of complimenting superhero films in an interview has gone viral. In statement, he can be seen complimenting superhero films and also talking about his favorite MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movie. statement went viral after incidents of filmmaker, Martin Scorsese, and Francis Ford Coppola, criticizing superhero and Marvel films that came to light wherein y had compared films to amusement parks.

Spielberg's love for superhero movies

much talked about comment was made by Spielberg at Cannes film festival wherein he talked about how he loved Richard Donner's Superman, Christopher lan's Dark Knight and MCU's Iron Man 1. He also revealed that his favorite MCU film was Guardians of Galaxy. He supported his comment by saying that he had seen something different and new in James Gunn directorial.

Steven Speilberg's comments came in wake of MCU movies getting flak from prominent filmmakers such as Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola. Scorsese had said that MCU movies were t cinema as he was unable to watch m. Martin's statement was supported by Cappola, who called Marvel films despicable.

In events that preceded this, Martin Scorsese's comments on Marvel feature films went all over internet and several Hollywood actors who have acted in MCU films hit back at producer for comparing ir films with "amusement parks". Karen Gillan, kwn for playing character of Nebula in Guardians of Galaxy, hit out at Scorsese.

While speaking to international media, Gillan also said that she was of firm believer that Marvel Universe movies were definitely a part of everyday cinema. She furr added that world of cinema is a place of art where stories are told with help of visuals.

comments criticizing American-Italian filmmaker have come in response to his interview with a local media outlet, wherein he stated that Marvel films are t a work of cinema and represent me-parks. He furr added that he tried to watch superhero films but couldn't finish as y are t "cinema".
