Melissa Beist of Supergirl fame took to Instagram to share a 14-minute long video about her experience with domestic abuse and intimate partner violence or IPV. Melissa started her heart-wrenching mess with word, “I am a victim of domestic violence…,” while going back to dreful situations she faced. She herself did t predict that she would experience anything like this. Melissa Beist furr said that unnamed man who is at centre of violent acts was a ‘devious person disguised as charming’.

Melissa Beist accepted fact that she was led to her abuser after a series of dumb decisions. She was earlier t interested in him but later y became friends. man in question was younger than Melissa and that reflected on his immature behaviour according to Melissa. Melissa Beist mentioned that because he me her feel 'special and worthwhile', and eventually started dating him. After y got in a relationship he started physically abusing her, to point she h to be mitted to emergency room. At first, Melissa tried to let go of his devious behaviour, but n it escalated and decided to leave him. According to Melissa, re were days when she h to act rmally but was a wreck inside.

Melissa Beist soon me a strong decision and decided to finally leave him. However, according to video, process of leaving was t easy. She said, “Leaving was t a walk in a park. It is t an event, it is a process.” Towards end of video, Beist shared some statistics related to domestic violence and n shared helplines for those suffering from same.
