'The Batman' spinoff series announced; will see Colin Farrell reprise his role as Penguin

Batman is three months away from its release, and for fans awaiting Robert Pattinson venture to come out, re is an update from world of superhero. One of characters in film is gearing up for a spin-off. Penguin aka Oswald Cobblepot is all set to feature in a special series surrounding his character. 

While news about series was first shared a few months ago, it has w emerged that Colin will be starring in venture. t just acting, he has also signed on as executive producer of series for HBO Max.

Colin Farrell to star as Penguin in Batman spin-off series

Colin Farrell, as per a report on Variety, will portray antagonist in spin-off which is being scripted by Lauren LeFranc.   plot of venture will trace villain's journey up underworld of Gotham city to become crime lord.

Apart from Tigerland star, Matt Reeves, director of Batman and Dylan Clark, producer, will also serve as executive producers on show. This will be second spiff series about Batman at HBO Max after ar spin-off series delving into Gotham City Police Department.

character Penguin is one creating chaos in upcoming  Batman. Colin could be seen almost unrecognisable in trailer of action movie, looking much older, bulkier and balding with use of heavy prostics. More on what his character was about, and changes, if any, from previous portrayals, will be seen only when film hits atres on March 4. 

This was his first association with Batman franchise.
