'The Lion King' premiere: Prince Harry & Duchess Meghan Markle have royal run-in with 'Queen Bey' Beyonce

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who attended the London premiere of 'The Long King' was seen bonding with Queen Bey Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z at the event.

It was an absolute Royal affair at London premiere of 'The Long King'. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who attended the premiere was seen bonding with Queen Bey Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z at the event. 

Beyonce who has voiced Nala in the upcoming remake of the beloved 1994 Disney film, was seen dazzling in a custom off-the-shoulder gold pleated gown with a thigh-high slit by Cong Tri. She paired it with fancy colored diamond Lorraine Schwartz earrings and diamond rings, as she walked the film's red carpet at Leicester Square Gardens with husband Jay-Z.

On the other hand, former actress and the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle wore a semi-sheer Jason Wu black dress, paired with Aquazzura slingback heels and a black Gucci clutch. She was accompanied by her husband Prince Harry, who rocked a classic tuxedo for the event. Interestingly, this was Meghan's first red carpet walk after she tied the knot with Prince Harry.

The celebrity couples were seen having a gala time together. Meghan and Beyonce were also seen greeting each other with a hug. Although, Meghan worked in Hollywood for quite a long time, reportedly, this was the first time the divas came across each other. 

As per media reports, Harry kissed Beyonce on both cheeks in greeting and Jay-Z told Meghan and Harry, "congrats" for welcoming their son Archie Harrison, who was born two months ago. Beyonce said the child was "so beautiful," and she also told the Duchess, "We love you guys."The premiere was held in "support of the conservation and communities work of His Royal Highness through The Royal Foundation", Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

Helmed by Jon Favreau, 'The Lion King', will hit the theatres on July 19. It will see Donald Glover lending his voice to the much-loved character of Simba. While John Oliver will be heard as Zazu and Seth Rogen will lend his voice to Pumbaa. With the screenplay written by Jeff Nathanson and songs by legends like Elton John and Time Rice, the movie will be directed by Jon Favreau. James Earl Jones, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, and Alfre Woodard are also a part of the cast ensemble. It will release in India in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
