The much-anticipated eighth installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise has been hit with yet another delay. This time, the filming-related setback was caused by a fault with a submarine that was valued at approximately ₹250 crore. This incident has not only resulted in production delays but has also raised the total cost of the movie, crossing the mark of ₹3000 crore.
Mission Impossible 8 hit another roadblock
The Mirror reports that Paramount has halted production of Mission: Impossible 8 due to a problem involving a £23 million submarine. The gimbal, which lowers the 120-foot-tall tower, got stuck under its weight, delaying filming by several weeks.
"They’re not happy as it puts production behind, which costs a lot of money per day," stated a source. The COVID-19 pandemic and the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes had previously caused a delay in the highly anticipated eighth installment's production.
