Helmed by Andy Serkis, movie also features Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, and Woody Harrelson, in role of villain Cletus Kasady/Carn alongside Hardy. movie follows Eddie Brock, essayed by Hardy, who is seen struggling to adjust to life as host of alien symbiote Vem, while serial killer Cletus Kasady escapes from prison after becoming host of Carn, a chaotic spawn of Vem.

Vem 2 has been in spotlight ever since its helmer, Andy Serkis mentioned Vem and Spider-Man crossover on big screen for first time since 2007's Spider-Man 3. In his interview with ComicBook, Serkis had stated that marks first official crossover between Marvel's Spider-Man and Sony's Vem franchise. Spider-Man: Way Home is slated to release on big screen on December 21, 2021.
