20th Century Fox released the final official trailer of 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix' on Wednesday, April 17 and it looks absolutely promising. Featuring 'GOT' actress Sophie Turner Jean Grey, the film depicts the journey of the supremely powerful mutant.

The makers of 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix' dropped its final official trailer of the film on YouTube on Wednesday, April 17 and it looks promising. 20th Century Fox released the preview from the much-anticipated X-Men venture that will depict the journey of the powerful mutant Jean Grey, who becomes the possessor of immense powers after a space mission goes wrong.

The trailer stars the 'GOT' actress Sophie Turner as the supremely powerful mutant and showcases how the X-Men had to face her Phoenix powers following the incident. X-men characters including Cyclops, Mystique, Beast, Storm, and Nightcrawler are seen coming together as a malevolent, power-hungry force takes over Jean Grey's mind.

Set nearly a decade after the events of 'X-Men: Apocalypse', the X-Men in this upcoming venture are considered as national heroes. The trailer starts with Grey and the X-men team going on a space rescue mission when a solar flare hits them and Jean Grey loses control of her abilities and unleashes the Phoenix.

 As informed in the previous trailers, Jene at a very young age unaware of her supreme powers comes to Professor Charles Xavier for help. However, things take a toll when she feels betrayed by the former and seeks out counsel from Michael Fassbender’s Magneto. 

Jean who accidentally caused a car crash as a child, grew up to be a young woman with limitless cosmic powers. Being an Omega-level mutant with the physical manifestation of the cosmic Phoenix Force, she is one of the strongest mutant the 'X-Men' series has ever witnessed.

Describing Jene's character in a previous trailer, Professor X said, "She's all rage, pain, and it's all coming out at once."

The trailer has recorded over 1,589,604 views within hours of its release and it is highly appreciated by the audience. With 'Game of Thrones' release around the same time netizens have connected Sophie's Phoenix to her GOT character Sansa Stark.

Besides Sophie Turner taking up the role of Jean Grey/ Phoenix in the upcoming venture, Tye Sheridan will be featured as Scott Summers / Cyclops, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkhölme / Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy / Beast, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Kurt Wagner / Nightcrawler, and Evan Peters as Peter Maximoff / Quicksilver among others. Also, the movie stars Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto and James McAvoy as Charles Xavier. 

Based on Marvel Comics' 'The Dark Phoenix Saga', the superhero flick is scripted by directed by Simon Kinberg and is scheduled to hit the silver screen on June 7, 2019.
