'Winter Castle' filming locations: Know where winter film was shot

Winter Castle, a romantic-med winter movie was directed by Marita Grabiak. film was written by Barbara Kymlicka. movie is based on life of Jenny a young girl who has spent most of her time in sunny California. Jenny’s sister Meg planned a destination wedding at a hotel me entirely of ice. film captures romantic relationship that develops between Jenny and Craig at beautiful winter hotel. Hotel de Glace, Quebec

If you ever wondered where did y film Winter Castle, answer is in Cana. According to Cinemaholic, hotel shown in Winter Castle was located in Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier municipality in Canian region of Quebec City. hotel is named as Hotel de Glace and is located 20 minutes to rth of Quebec City.

As reported, hotel is only ice hotel in rth America. It remains open for three months from January to March. Winter Castle was shot before hotel closed for year. majestic hotel includes a chapel, an ice slide and an ice-med bar. report stated that every year hotel has to be rebuilt before opening up during winter since it melts.

Cumberland Herit Vill Museum, Ontario

Since most of indoor scenes were shot inside hotel, or scenes of film were shot at Cumberland Herit Vill Museum, Ontario. According to report, entire site was used to resemble rural areas in rth America during 1920s and 1930s. location included everything from a train station to schoolhouse, blacksmith’s shop and a gar. Even though it is a museum, site is mostly served as a filming location.
