Simon Kinberg shows interest in Magneto with Thor in MCU

In an interview with a news ncy, Dark Phoenix writer and director Simon Kinberg talked about possible merger of X-Men and current MCU characters. filmmaker said that he grew up reing Marvel comics and mutants were part of MCU. He furr clarified that y were t a part of MCU but Marvel Universe, generally comics.

Kinberg mentioned that for him, it is very natural for  X-Men to be part of larger Marvel universe. He stated that he still remembers “ iconic cover” of X-Men with Avengers. He ted that he would love to see m interacting with all or Marvel characters, y are going to be with w. director said that he is excited to see what merger is going to look like.

Simon Kinberg ded that he is interested to see Magneto entering MCU. He mentioned that it is because character’s tonality is so different than tones of Marvel films. He stated that possibilities are limitless but he does like idea of Magneto with Thor or with some or comic characters and seeing what interaction between m could be like.

In X: Men: Dark Phoenix, Simon Kinberg ded a scene which is speculated to be a hidden reference to Avengers. Despite t being a part of Marvel Cinematic Universe at time, seen in Dark Phoenix resembles with Captain Marvel. In it, an existing jet is modified to reach Earth’s orbit, like latter film. According to reports, X: Men: Dark Phoenix went into reshoots as it h major similarities with Captain Marvel, which released three months prior.
