Zack Snyder expresses interest in directing next James Bond film

Zack Snyder has spent last few years trying to introduce new intellectual property (IP) for Netflix including Army of De and Rebel Moon franchise. However, 57-year-old director is also known for ding his signature to iconic IP, such as Watchmen, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League. When asked if he would ever take up tackling an alrey-established franchise, Snyder expressed his interest in James Bond.

In a conversation with Atlantic, Snyder was asked about directing a pre-existing franchise. filmmaker seemed interested in James Bond universe. He said, “It’d be cool to see, like, 20-year-old James Bond. humble roots that he comes from. Whatever trauma of youth that makes you be able to be James Bond. re has to be something re.”

Snyder is recent one to comment on a potential James Bond 26 film, as series waits for its next move after release of No Time to Die in 2021. 

Although he hasn't been associated with project until his recent remarks. Previously, Christopher Nolan denied any participation in James Bond 26, even though he acknowledged being interested in idea. Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace), Sam Mendes (Skyfall and Spectre), and Cary Joji Fukunaga (No Time to Die) are some of directors of James Bond franchise.

Producer Barbara Broccoli, who has produced Bond since 1980s, has previously stated that process of reimagining Bond is still in its early stages. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is one of actors reportedly being considered for role of James Bond, even if name of next Bond is still unknown.
