'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' producers request fans to stop visiting houses filmed in the drama

The South Korean drama, 'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha', is riding high on success but having trouble with fans visiting the houses filmed in the drama.

Starring one of biggest stars in lead, Kim Seon‑ho and Shin Min, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is currently soaring high on television ratings locally as well as internationally. Billed as a light romantic comedy, series offers picturesque locations of a seaside town in city of Pohang along with a glimpse into small houses used in film.

While fans are enjoying small-town homely feels in drama, some are going too far by visiting real-life locations in drama.

Fans visiting Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha locations

Ardent fans of series could t help but find mselves drawn towards scenic seaside locations of Gongjin which is a city in Palang in real life. This has caused trouble to families staying in houses as y are receiving several guests after watching drama. Addressing situation, producers of series have issued a statement requesting fans to refrain from visiting and disturbing residents.

According to Soompi, statement initially thanked fans for ir overwhelming love and support for drama. y made a request stating, ''Hello. This is “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” production team. We would like to thank our viewers for giving us so much love, and we would like to make one request regarding visits to our filming location.".  producers continued, ''Hye Jin’s house, Doo Shik’s house, Gam Ri’s house, and Cho Hee’s house in drama are s that we leased for filming purposes for duration of our shoot, and at moment, ir owners are currently residing in those homes.''

Addressing matter of fans entering houses of residents, statement continued, ''y helped our drama out with good intentions, but y are currently suffering disturbances to ir everyday lives because of visitors. For reason described above, when you visit our filming location, we ask that you refrain from entering se houses.''

However, in order to treat ir fans with traces of drama in real-life location, makers decided to keep special souvenirs in city. statement read, ''Out of consideration for people who want to experience afterglow of drama, city of Pohang will be keeping squid statue at Cheongha Market and boat at Sabang Memorial Park even after end of filming. Once again, we thank you for giving your love to “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.”

According to a report from Korea JoongAng Daily, series has landed itself on ninth position in list of Top TV Shows on Netflix in World as per a streaming analytics platform FlixPatrol.
