Honey Singh 'Makhna' Controversy | SHOCKING: These are the shameful and disgustingly sexist Yo Yo Honey Singh song lyrics against which the Punjab Women's Panel has filed a complaint

Popular Punjabi rapper Honey Singh has again courted controversy for lewd lyrics in his new song 'Makhna'.Taking a suo moto cognizance, Punjab State Women Commission chairperson Manisha Gulati said she has written to the Director-General of Police to register a criminal case against the singer for using lyrics like “Mein hoon womaniser (I am a womaniser)", and "Silicon wali ladki ko mein, pakadta nahi".

The disgustingly sexist lyrics also categorize girls into "brown", "silicon", and "gori gori". Brown girls se mera, dil bharta nahi, Gori gori skin ke liye, mein marta nahi, Kyunki main hoon sher, ghaas charta nahi, Tu hai patli si naari", reads an excerpt from the singer's distasteful lyrics. 

BELOW ARE THE DISGUSTINGLY SEXIST LYRICS OF HONEY SINGH'S 'MAKHNA': 

“Mein aur mere kalakar
Sab baith ke kare chill
Par main hoon womanizer
Mujhe akele mein mat mill
Silicon wali ladki ko mein, pakadta nahi
Brown girls se mera, dil bharta nahi
Gori gori skin ke liye, mein marta nahi
Kyunki main hoon sher, ghaas charta nahi

Referring to women as "patli si naari", the shocking lyrics go on to objectify the gender in a distasteful manner while celebrating misogyny. 

Tu hai patli si naari
Par mera weight ho gaya thoda bhari
Tu hai jaanti mein hu shikaari
Tujhe kha jaaunga saari ki saari”

The rapper in 2013 was involved in a controversy over the lyrics of his song “Main hoon balatkari (I am a rapist)”. Even the Punjab and Haryana High Court had ordered the Punjab government to file a case against Honey Singh for singing vulgar songs. It had also said singers like Honey Singh should be boycotted, as “his songs make us hang our heads in shame”.
