Sharda Sinha, popular singer kwn for her Bhojpuri , Maithili and Hindi Folk music and Chhath songs passed away on vember 5 in New Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Sinha was battling multiple myeloma, a of blood cancer, since 2017. Amid this, a  post of hers is w going viral on social media.

She wrote, “When everyone was sleeping in house on this day, Sinha Sahab would get up quietly and go to florist with two roses and some spicy snacks in his hand with a mischievous smile in his eyes, he would come home without making any ise, sitting on chair kept at my he, he would wait for me to wake up and he would give me those two roses and say Happy Birthday, may you get buds of Gulistan, may spring t go away from your garden, may you get happiness of life. n I would wake up in a half sleep, rubbing my eyes, I would greet him with folded hands and before I could choose good words and thank him, he would get impatient and ask hey bror n he would keep spicy snacks right at my he and say yes this is for everyone. Taking care of his health, I would stop him from eating all this, it will make you sick…he would leave it….stay happy and leave. I would tell children t to give him any of this breakfast he must have alrey eaten it….he would stare at me from above his glasses and say I would stare at hi, harder and n he would quietly say, I h eaten a little. n I would ask children to get hum some medicine and ask him to rest.

She furr wrote, “This day without Sinha Saha  pierces me like a thorn, today t only me but whole world is decorating him with flowers. Preparations for Ekasha are on, w what to eat, a full feast is ahe. What gift did Sinha Sahab give me? I met him, I will return in 3 days, you take care of yourself. He told me I am absolutely fine you just stay healthy and return soon. Who knew that his folded hands and wide eyes are looking at me for last time. Today is a very heavy day. I feel presence of Sinha Sahab, but both children Vandana and Anshhumman feel as is far has gone somewhere and will return a little late”.

In conclusion of te she wrote, “ This piercing silicon, this pricking like a thorn, heart feels as if it will burst out! re is only one picture left of our last meeting, I am sharing it here for everyone to see. grandfar is in his lap, his eyes are filled with tears, I am standing beside him, emotional, consoling him, I will come soon…this is what I told him”.

All about Sharda Sinha

She began singing at a very young in 1970s and me a name for herself with her soulful renditions that filled air with festivities during Chhath celebrations every year. Sinha also sang song Kahe Toh Se Sajna in hit movie Maine Pyar Kia (1989).
