Trade analyst Manobala told Republic Digital that the early trends suggest an opening of Rs 25 crore for Jailer in Tamil Nadu. "Early estimates suggest a trend of above Rs 25 crore in Tamil Nadu, and above Rs 75 cr in worldwide box office. Actuals will vary upon evening and night show occupancy," he said.
Will Jailer not beat Valimai record?
Manobala said that Jailer will manage to score the biggest opening for a Tamil film in 2023 and will beat Vijay's Beast and Ajith Kumar's Valimai in worldwide collection. "Jailer will land above Beast (Rs 72.67 crore) PS 2 (Rs 61.53 crore) and Valimai (Rs 59.48 crore) at worldwide box office," he said.

However, Manobala said that Jailer will not be able to beat Ajith's Valimai in Tamil Nadu because the former did not get early morning shows in the state. "In Tamil Nadu, Valimai (Rs 36.17 crore) numbers will not be crossed due to no early morning shows," he said.
