Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Business Man hit screens on January 13, 2012. film starred Mahesh Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, and Prakash Raj in lead roles. plot of film revolved around a highly ambitious man who steps into Mumbai with aim of ruling city. Second Collaboration

film marks second collaboration between Puri Jagannadh and Mahesh Babu. duo had previously worked toger in ar action film in 2006. Titled Pokiri, film also starred Ileana D'Cruz and Prakash Raj.

Sequel

After release, film was criticised for us of curse-words by protagonist and a few intimate sequences between lead pair. Business Man was also signed up for a sequel but was later shelved. film was planned to be a bilingual one to be shot in Hindi as well as Telugu.

Title and violations

film's makers violated rules of Cinematograph Act, 1952 and Central Board of Film Certification regarding re-working of its title. film's title was originally set to be Business Man but was later changed to Business Man after board passed it with first title. film's UK title was Businessman - Guns Don't Need Agreements

Filmed in shortest time

filming for Business Man on December 10, 2011, in just 74 working days. It marked one of shortest periods in which a Telugu film was shot. film received an A rating due to dialogues more than action sequences. 

Script Reading

director reportedly did t narrate entire script to Mahesh Babu beforehand. Each of scenes was narrated to him on set and was shot. actor delivered a good performance as he was highly appreciated for role.
