Puneeth Rajkumar Lives On: Netizens Remember Appu On His Third Death Anniversary

Kannada star Puneeth Rajkumar complained of uneasiness to his wife Ashwini and died on his way to a hospital in Bengaluru. He died of a heart attack at 46.

Puneeth Rajkumar was one of the most talented and loved actors in the Kannada film industry. The actor started his acting career at a very young age and won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role of Ramu in Bettada Hoovu. In 2002, he made his debut as a lead actor in the movie Appu and since then, he has been known as Appu by his fans.

The actor gave several memorable and hit movies to Kannada cinema, including Abhi, Veera Kannadiga, Maurya, Arasu, Jackie, Hudugaru, Rana Vikrama and Raajakumara. He was enjoying the success of his career and working on his next projects when on October 29, 2021, the actor complained of uneasiness to his wife Ashwini and died on his way to a hospital in Bengaluru. He was 46. the reason for his death was said to be a heart attack. This left his family, fans and the Kannada industry in shock.

To date, Puneeth's fans fondly remember him for his acting skills and noble gestures. This year marks his 3rd death anniversary and the fans have flooded the social media handle with heartfelt posts.

A user shared a photo of the late actor and wrote, "Still Can't able to Forget You Appu Boss... Please Come Back Boss... Being Your Die hard Fan We Can't able to Digest that You are No More... APPU WE LOVE YOU."

Another wrote, "Unforgettable gem... It's been 3 years since you left us.....but your memory is forever in everyone's mind...  Miss you Appu Sir."

A third user wrote, "In the remembrance of my paramathma Appu lives on  - Puneeth raj kumar."

Puneeth Rajkumar's noble cause

Post his death, Puneeth's eyes were donated at the Narayana Nethralaya Eye Hospital in accordance with a pledge by his father Rajkumar, that he along with all his family members would donate their eyes after death. This noble gesture gave eyesight to four people.

Meanwhile, Puneeth Rajkumar is survived by his Ashwini Revnath and two daughters Drithi and Vanditha.
