'KGF' makers furious after Yash-starrer screened illegally on TV, post screenshot
'KGF' makers were furious after the Yash-starrer was screened illegally by a local Telugu channel. The makers posted screenshots and threatened legal action.

Piracy has become a hassle for film industry with movies leaking within hours of its release. While makers see a dent in ir collections due to piracy, even revenue y could possibly earn from sattelite screenings also gets impacted with illegal screenings on TV. This was witnessed with movie KGF: Chapter 1 recently.

Kannada film, that was dubbed in various langus and enjoyed success and popularity, was screened illegally by a Telugu local channel recently. makers of action film were furious when y spotted it and w plan to take legal action.
Kartik Gowda, Creative Executive Producer of banner Homable Films that produced film stated that makers were comtemplating suing cable channel Every. He also said that incident happened when deal for TV telecast was almost finalised, before COVID-19 pandemic delayed situation

He added that y had eugh evidence to proceed legally like screenshots and videos.

KGF: Chapter 1 has been released on Amazon Prime and some of TV channels, like its Malayalam dubbed version. movie starring Yash is touted as highest-grosser of Kannada cinema and story revolves around journey of Rocky bhai amid gold mafia in 1960s at Kolar Gold Fields . film has been directed by Prasanth Neel.
shooting for second installment had also been underway over last year and first poster too has been unveiled. However, due to COVID-19 pandemic, re could be a delay in initial scheduled release date of October 23.
