Blackpink's Jennie Files Criminal Lawsuit Against Imposter Claiming To Be Her Father

BLACKPINK's Jennie faces rumours about her biological father's identity, which her agency, ODD ATELIER has now clarified with legal warning to the publications.

BLACKPINK idol Jennie recently attracted controversial buzz due to a new novel written by PD Kim Hyung Jin, which is reportedly based on her life. Speculation arose, when some publications claimed that author of book is Jennie's biological far. Following this, Jennie's agency, ODD ATELIER, has now officially refuted se claims, stating re is no link between Jennie and Jin(author) or any individual imposter who claimed to be her far.

Jennie's agency released an official statement

On September 6, ODD ATELIER issued a statement dressing spre of misinformation. agency explained, "Recently, false publications and fake news pretending to be from artist's far have been circulating. This information is completely false and unrelated to artist. Please avoid purchasing se illegal publications to prevent any harm." statement served as a firm rebuttal to misleing claims and vised fans against buying any unauthorized or deceptive materials.

BLACKPINK idol's agency also outlined its plans to dress issue legally. y stated, "We are pursuing legal action by filing a criminal complaint for defamation and obstruction of business caused by spre of false information through our law firm." 

ditionally, ODD ATELIER announced its reiness to take legal action against those creating harmful online content, including defamation and harassment. "We are taking legal action against those responsible for malicious posts, including defamation, sexual harassment, and false slander. Such actions are criminal, and we will continue to take vigorous legal steps based on evidence we collect. We are committed to protecting rights and interests of our artists," agency ded.

How it all began?

controversy started when a Korean media outlet reported that PD Kim Hyung Jin is far of a K-pop idol Jennie and that he plans to release a long-form novel about her life. However, article was quickly removed from internet and information couldn’t be verified.

Despite lack of clear details, news spre widely. Following this, ODD ATELIER labelled accused as an 'imposter' in ir statement, though y did not specify a name.
