The nine member strong South Korean boy band, EXO is currently on a hiatus from group activities. The reason behind this are the ongoing tenures of mandatory military enlistment that most of the band members are involved in. Now, the ninth and final member of the group, Sehun, too has announced his departure for the same. The news came as part of a heartfelt farewell note, addressed to his fans.

EXO Sehun announces date for military enlistment in heartfelt letter to fans
EXO Sehun took to his social media handles to share a handwritten note, directed to his fans. The note carried details regarding the singer's date of departure for his mandatory military enlistment - December 21 to be precise. The K-pop idol also revealed how prior to his departure he has chosen to spend time on self-reflection, which is also the reason behind him conveying his message through a note, instead of a live session.
Excerpts from the note read, "I hope everyone is in good health. I'm reaching out today because I have something to share. Starting from December 21, I will be entering military service. I apologize for informing EXO-L about this at a later time...Recently, I've been dedicating time to self-reflection and taking care of myself in solitude. This is why I'm conveying my thoughts through this letter instead of being physically present before you."
