K-pop girl Group New Jeans Threatens To Terminate Contract With ADOR, Gives Ultimatum

NewJeans is a South Korean girl group formed by OR, a sub-label of Hybe. group is composed of five members: Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. Mainly produced by Min Hee-jin, y are known for ir 'girl next door' image. group which has been in tussle with agencies for quite a time has now given ultimatum to its agency OR.

New Jeans’ warning to OR

According to reports, all five members of group-  Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein is sent an official certification of contents to OR in ir legal names. document mentions that members requested rectification of all significant breaches of ir exclusive contract within 14 days from receipt of letter. girl group have said, ““If OR does not meet our demands, we intend to terminate our exclusive contract”.

Formed by OR, NewJeans is a South Korean girl group consisting of five members: Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. group debuted on July 22, 2022, with single Attention, followed by Hype Boy and Cookie, which were all part of ir debut extended play (EP) released in August 2022. ir first single album, OMG, released in January 2023, achieved commercial success.

HYBE-OR conflict

When word leaked out that OR was trying to divide managerial rights, HYBE performed an audit, including that of CEO Min Hee Jin, which sparked dispute between two organizations. Min Hee Jin was asked to resign from role in a letter from HYBE. 

Min Hee Jin, however, refuted accusations and stated that primary concern is that BELIFT LAB stole ideas from NewJeans for ir recently created girl group, ILLIT.
