It's Controversial/ Parasite actor Lee Sun Kyun apologises in first public appearance since involvement in drug case

Korean actor Lee Sun Kyun, best known for his role of Dong-ik in Academy Award decorated 2019 film Parasite, has made his first public appearance amid an controversial entanglement. The actor, currently caught up in a drug case, headed to the police station where had been summoned for questioning regarding the same. In a brief statement, the Parasite actor was seen expressing his apologies.

Lee Sun Kyun apologises for his drug case entanglement

Lee Sun Kyun was seen making his way to the  Incheon Nonhyeon Police Station, earlier today. This marked his first public appearance since news of his drug case broke. Prior to heading in for questioning, the actor shared a brief statement reflecting on the pain he has brought to his well wishers through his actions.

As per a Koreaboo report, the actor said, First of all, I sincerely apologize for the great amount of disappointment I have brought to so many people for being involved in such an unpleasant incident. I would like to bow my head in apology to everyone who has trusted in me and support me all this time. As I delivered through my agency, my position is that I will faithfully participate in the investigation with an honest attitude. I feel very sorry to my family, who is suffering a lot at the moment. I will sincerely and truthfully answer [the questions] during the investigation." He ended his statement with a bow.

A look at Lee Sun Kyun's controversy

Lee Sun Kyun is currently being investigated for allegedly administering drugs - psychoactive and psychotropic drugs.

For the sake of investigation, the actor will also reportedly be undergoing a reagent test. The Parasite actor's phone also stands confiscated for the same purpose.
