Lil Nas X slams BET Awards after nomination snub; network clarifies stance

Rapper Lil Nas X recently slammed BET Awards with a preview of his next song Late to Da Party after they skipped his name in this year's nomination list.

Rapper Lil Nas X recently slammed BET Awards after y skipped his name in this year's mination list. singer gave a sneak peek of a new song titled Late to Da Party in a video on Twitter and called out "problem of homophobia in Black community”. Through his latest track, rapper tried to channel his frustration with network after mination snub. Following singer's video, network issued a statement justifying ir move.

In one-minute teaser of song, singer is seen sitting shirtless in a car with song Late to Da Party blasting on his speakers in background. “F***BET, f***BET,” song starts, which goes on with singer boasting about how he doesn’t need anyone to validate his success.

Following teaser video, singer n clarified that song was t “over BET award… this is about bigger problem of homophobia in Black community… y’all can sit and pretend all u want but imma risk it all for us.”

Lil Nas X slams BET Awards after mination skip

tensions between rapper and network triggered last week when minations for BET Awards were anunced and superstar’s name was where to be found among starry lineup that included Doja Cat, Ari Lenx, Drake, and Silk Sonic.

“Thank you BET awards. an outstanding zero minations again. Black excellence! (sic)” his w-deleted tweeted re. 
In 2020, rapper was minated for best new artiste at awards show and earned five or ds at separate BET Hip Hop Awards in 2019 and 2021. Following tiff, BET network issued a statement justifying its stance. 

“We love Lil Nas X. He was minated for a best new artist BET Award in 2020, and we proudly showcased his extraordinary talent and creativity on show twice: he performed Old Town Ro with Billy Ray Cyrus at BET Awards 2019, and his BET Awards 2021 performance was a highlight of our show. one cheered louder that night than BET."

Continuing, y wrote, "Unfortunately, this year, he was t minated by BET’s voting acemy, which is comprised of an esteemed group of nearly 500 entertainment professionals in fields of music, television, film, digital marketing, sports journalism, public relations, influencers, and creative arts. one from BET serves as a member of voting acemy."
